Remember James Brausch?

I used to mention him on my blog often when he was posting about Internet business regularly. He retired a couple years ago but now appears to be back. I’ve been reading his articles enthusiastically…

…so imagine my surprise when he called me out in a blog post. Doh!

Apparently he noticed that I still haven’t released Copy Breeze after saying I would more than once. Yikes! So I have to thank him for giving me an extra push to get this thing out here…

Let me tell you about it… it’s AWESOME!

I’ve been writing sales copy inside CopyBreeze for YEARS now and I would NEVER go back to WYSIWYG editors like Dreamweaver. Those programs are expensive and drive me absolutely NUTS.

Instead, CopyBreeze removes all the distractions and just allows you to TYPE. You don’t have to worry about formatting or getting your WYSIWYG editor to listen.

Just write copy at the speed of thought.

Then when you’re done, hit “Generate.” Out pops a BEAUTIFULLY coded HTML sales page.

(Copy Breeze comes installed with my carefully crafted sales page template designed to maximize sales, so you don’t even need to worry about designing the sales page at all.)

You can click here to order…

Or click below to read the extremely rushed sales page:

Copy Breeze – Stephen Dean’s WYSIWYG Killer

If you have any questions after ordering just leave a comment on this post. I probably won’t publish it but I will email you back.

Cheers!
Stephen

I recently discovered that nearly 20% of the people who visit this blog jump over to my copywriting services page.

I love it, thank you.

Many people find the application form at the end of the page. When you fill out an application I’m automatically notified via email. And you’re sent an autoresponse confirming that I’ve received your application.

I simply can’t take on every applicant’s project. But even so I can help you out.

If your budget doesn’t match my rates, I’ll help you find a copywriter who’s a better fit. And if my schedule is full, I’ll point you to a quality copywriter who can do the job.

And what if we’re a great fit? Then we’re ready to rock.

I’ll review your application and respond with some questions.

First I’m going to ask you what your goals are. What would be a “walk-off home run” result from this project?

Then I’ll take a look at your response and quickly craft a battle plan based on my 12 years of experience in Internet Marketing. (And 6 years experience as a copywriter for the likes of Ryan Deiss, Matt Bacak, David Garfinkel, Jim Edwards and Ewen Chia.)

After sending a few emails back and forth, we’ll know if we’re a good fit for each other and ready for a champagne product launch.

Once the down payment is made I’ll send you a questionnaire to work on while I dive in to your product.

If it’s an infoproduct I’m going to read it front to back. If it’s a DVD I’m going to watch it. If it’s software I’m going to test drive it.

Whatever it takes to understand the user experience.

Then I’m going to check out your competiton. I want to find out how they’re similar and how you’re different. I want to see what approaches they’re taking in their marketing (and pay special attention to who’s having the most success).

Then I’m going to check out your potential customers and find out what they’re starving for. I might even check out the magazines they’re likely to read, to see what they’re probably thinking about this month.

Now it’s time to craft an awesome angle and sales argument. I’m likely going to come up with several and narrow it down to my favorite.

Then I’ll run it by you. If you don’t like the angle I’ve taken, you won’t like the copy I write. So it’s important to make sure you’re on board before I really get going.

Once we’re on the same page, BAM. I’m ready to write like crazy on your project. I’m going to pour my soul on to the page representing your product.

I’m going to write several sizzling headlines and choose from the best.

I’m going to write compelling subheads that stop skimmers and draw them back in to the story.

I’m going to craft a strategical, logical sales argument that makes the reader think YOU’RE the person to sell them the ONLY or ABSOLUTE BEST solution to their problem. And that they’ll lose BIG if they don’t buy now.

I’m going to write enticing bullets that make people BEG and PLEAD to experience these benefits for themselves.

And I’m going to craft an offer that people would consider trading their first born to have.

Once the letter is finished I’ll edit it and send it over. You can take a look at it and jot down some notes. Then send me your feedback. I’ll make any changes if necessary.

Now it’s time to publish the letter and drive traffic. If you’ll let me, I’d love to track the conversion to see if we’ve hit it out of the ball park.

If you’re anything but absolutely thrilled with the results – fear not. Since I’m tracking the results I’ve probably already started testing new approaches and headlines to increase the conversion.

And if a little testing doesn’t do the job, I’ll start over from scratch if need be. My guarantee gives you up to 60 days to ask me to give it another go from the beginning.

There’s just two things left. One, if I’ve done my job and you’re happy, you can send me a glowing testimonial.

And two, you keep me in mind for your next project.

If you’d like to experience a champagne product launch for yourself, fill out an application here now.

Last month Ryan Healy asked me if I’d like to share an .mp3 Interview Ken McArthy did with Drayton Bird and Bob Bly. (I am one of thousands who have huge respect for those 3 names.)

You can find out more about it and download the MP3 interview here (opt-in required).

I wanted to give the interview a listen before I promoted it on the blog – not so much to make sure it was quality (I knew it would be) – but so that I could give you an idea of what was in it.

Unfortunately I never found time in my schedule to do it. BUMMER for all of us, as I highly recommend visiting the site and downloading the MP3 while it’s still available. (The event the promotion was intended for has already past, so it may not be available much longer.)

So I want to apologize to you for not giving you the heads up on this awesome opportunity.

And because I have a ton of respect for Ryan, I wanted to take the opportunity to promote him and his work in general. His blog is top notch and has been for years. I’ve bought products simply based on Ryan’s recommendation, even without reading the sales letter – and have never been let down.

I highly recommend his business growth strategies blog and suggest checking out his new site at the Copywriting Code.

Unbelievable. Suddenly with no warning, my computer decided not to turn on last weekend.

Oh, it turns on for few seconds I suppose. Just long enough to give me hope. But nothing ever appears on the screen before the power shuts off, then on, then off, then on in a never ending loop. Seems to be a common problem with HP Pavillion’s (And here).

In any case, enough woe is me.

This is just another reminder that your computer and all it’s files can go at any time.

If you’ve taken my advice in the past then you’re ready for a computer failure like I was. But if you’re still leaving important files not backed up on your computer, maybe it’s time you consider cloud computing as well.

Here’s my advice in a nutshell.

1. Switch to GMail for handling email, so you can access it at any computer.

2. Use web applications instead of desktop applications whenever you can. For example, Google Calendar is better than using whatever software came installed with your operating system.

3. If you write sales copy, then plead with me to release Copy Breeze immediately so that all of your projects will be backed up both on your webhost and in your email.

4. And use extra space on your webhost’s server to store important files.

Those are my general rules and they made sure the death of my computer was simply an annoyance instead of a disaster.

Probably one of my largest online business mistakes is trusting my web host to provide reliable email services.

At one time, I used PHPMail to deliver copywriting applications to my inbox. And only after a long period without receiving an application did I discover that my web host turned off PHPMail without telling me.

Thanks!

Just last week I woke up to 3 emails in my inbox. And if you’ve ran an Internet business for long, you know that number is remarkably low.

I started poking around the ‘net and realized I could count for several emails that SHOULD have been delivered but weren’t! (Payment notifications, auto-response messages and the like.)

I contacted my web host who set up a “test” and discovered my email was working “just fine.” (And miraculously, it did start working after I complained.)

But as was confirmed today, potential clients did email me and, of course, received no response back from me.

Overall, I like my web host and I’d be very hesitant to move. But it’s becoming very clear that I need to stop using their email.

GMail, The Reliable Free Mail

It used to be that a free email address was a big no-no for business. But that’s changed since Gmail came along.

Gmail REALLY IS that much better than paid alternatives. There’s little excuse not to use them as your primary email address, and many of the IM GURU’s do.

Needless to say, I hope to quickly move away from my web hosts email and rely solely on Gmail for the foreseeable future.

Seems like the economy has people tightening their belts. It’s not as easy to throw money at business opportunities these days.

And one thing I’ve noticed for sure is that people are being more cautious before hiring a copywriter.

Good.

One question I get a lot is, “Are you sure you can improve my conversion rate?” Or, “Can you promise a 2% conversion rate?”

Sounds to me like many online marketers are getting burned. And while I tend to agree with Bob Bly who says it’s dishonest to guarantee a conversion rate, I refuse to be a copywriter who turns his back on a client after handing over the copy.

So when you invest $4 to $6k with me for your sales copy, I’m ready and willing to help you test and track your copy for 30 days. With software I even customized myself to get results as quickly as possible.

Often times underperforming copy can be fixed with just a tweak here and there, and multivariate testing can help you find it.

So if your new copy is missing the mark a bit at first, I’ll be tweaking the copy to fix the problem maybe even before you notice!

This makes it easy for potential clients to decide…

…which copywriter should they hire in a recession when every dollar counts?

The copywriter who sticks around to test and track your copy to make sure it’s a winner? Or the copywriter who hands it over and is done with you.

The answer is clear, and you can fill out an application here: Copy Productions.

Have you been checking your stats programs lately?

I’ve been checking mine. And my stats program has been DECEIVED by black-hatters. (Those are people who use questionnable (at the least) tactics to make money online.)

Black hat marketers tend to be the most creative in the bunch. And they realize that getting traffic to a web site is as simple as sharing a URL with someone.

One way to get website traffic might be to walk down the street and tell people about your site. Or you could send them a letter. You could wear a sticker with your URL.

Anyway you can get your URL in front of someone is a way to get traffic.

And the black-hatters have discovered that one way is to “link” to your site from theirs… and then have a BOT click on the link to your site so that the Black Hatters URL will show up in your stats program!

(All stats programs will tell you where your visitors came from. In this case, it looks likes visitors are coming from the Black Hatters site… when it’s most likely a fake visit from a computer program.)

Because there are so many webmasters addicted to their stats, people will naturally click the link to see who’s linking to them. And that’s how you find yourself on the black hatters website.

Several of my sites have been targeted by these Mad Black-Hatters lately.

My question is… Is this a clever, innocent way to get traffic? Is it dishonest? Is it wrong?

I think at the least it’s very disingenuous. It’s not a very good way to introduce your business to someone.

But tell me, is this free traffic method too tempting for you? Would you use this technique for your business?

Please respond below, cheers!
