The WYSIWYG Killer Is Ready, Free Copies Go Out Next Week

  • Sharebar

Some of you may may know that I stopped writing copy in WYSIWYG editors more than a year ago.

Dreamweaver and other popular programs for creating webpages drive me NUTS.

They always seem to disagree with what I’m asking them to do. They try to create CSS styles that are beyond ugly. Speaking of ugly, the HTML code they create is disgusting.

And on top of all this they cost $300 or more. THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS just to feel like banging my head on a keyboard?

I don’t think so.

So I created the WYSIWYG Killer specifically for writing copy. You don’t have to mess with any messy design elements, you just type.

For a copywriter, that’s perfect. You can focus on writing copy, and only writing copy, instead of trying to wrestle with site design.

After a year of writing copy with the WYSIWYG Killer, I can confidently say I wouldn’t use anything else. It’s great.

Next week I’m going to send out a handful of free copies to professional copywriters.

*** If you’re a professional copywriter and would like to try it out, leave a comment with a link to your copywriting website. (Where I’d go to hire you if I wanted copy.)

I’ll send a free copy to two of the commenters randomly.

Sounds great! I’m not a professional copywriter, but I am definitely starting up. I’ve helped small businesses create copy for their brochures. I’ve always done copy for my own sales pages, and I’m starting to reach out and offer my services to more people through freelancing sites.

I think I could really benefit from this WYSIYG Killer :)

    Hi Stephen,
I’m always looking for a good editor – which means I’m always frustrated. If the WYSIWYG Killer lives up to its billing, it’ll be a life saver for any copywriter. I’m looking forward to it!

Interesting Stephen, as that’s probably the biggest thing Halbert used to preach and I still fight that urge to edit as I go. Would be interested to see it.

We have a small web team which is constantly frustrated with small copy changes which we want to empower our half dozen copywriters/editors to make themselves without fear of them messing up the source code.

I’d love to find a solution to this. Could your WYSIWYG Killer be it? It would be great to take a look.
